PPG Trike Tandem Level
The Tandem course is designed for pilots who have completed their intermediate level training and can show at least 20 hours of 40 solo flights logged in the personal pilot’s log book from the time he / she has completed PPG 1 training. After completing tandem training the pilot must show at least 30 hours and 60 flights logged in the personal pilot’s log book from the time he / she has completed the PPG 1 training in order to be get a Tandem Pilot’s rating/ certification.
During this transitional training, you may have to put in 4 hours in 2 days of flying with your instructor, who will review your practical tandem flying ability & instability/emergency procedures. Various flying techniques /methods while carrying passengers along with passenger care & attention are demonstrated. If the student wishes to progress further to become an Asst. Instructor then he /she will need to complete 20 hrs of 80 tandem flights.
To enroll in a PPG Tandem Trike training, an individual must :
- Be certified as a PPG 2 Trike Pilot from our organization or have a similar certification from another recognized training organization.
- Have at least 20 hours of 40 solo flights as Pilot in Command (PIC), logged in personal pilot’s log book signed by an authorized instructor.
- Be able to demonstrate, when asked, the necessary tasks that had been taught during PPG 2 training.
- Meet reasonable fitness standards.
- Respect the safety rules and Quality standards.
- Be prepared to complete the PPG practical and theoretical course consisting of 2 days of theory classes, practical flying and ground handling
A Brief Overview Of Our Syllabus
CERTIFICATION
After the completion of this course the student will have to show at least 30 hours of 60 solo flights from the time of completion of PPG 1 training. From here on the student will be recognized and certified as a PPG – Tandem Level – Trike Pilot.
If the student wishes to progress further to become an Asst. Instructor in the field then he / she needs to complete 20 hrs of 80 tandem flights, logged into the personal pilot’s log book certified by an authorized instructor.
